Plastic@Sea

Viridis

Our ecotoxicity test is based on in vitro marine invertebrate primary cell cultures. The impact of pollutants, industrial products or seawater from different origins on marine cultivated cells is evaluated by measuring cellular parameters: viability and cell growth. The test includes two stages: treatment and recovery, allowing to obtain a VIRIDIS Score that consider the impact of the product and the resilience capacity of cells after the treatment. VIRIDIS Score allows to evaluate the impact of industrial waste on the marine environment, and can also be a tool to survey the coastal water quality.

Eranova

On appelle cela l’Upcycling.

Alganel

Azelead

AZELEAD is a biotechnology company founded in 2014 whose objective is the analysis of efficacy and/or toxicity of chemical or biological compounds for therapeutic or cosmetic purposes. In the regulatory area of product safety, OECD-validated in vitro substitution methods replace animal testing without being able to extrapolate the toxicity to an entire organism. Our innovative zebrafish models predict the effects of a compound in humans but also on the environment. The zebrafish, transparent at the embryonic stage, allows to perform analyses in vivo in respect of the principle of 3Rs (Replacement, Reduction, Refinement), recommended in cosmetic and medical studies. As zebrafish are not considered as an animal model before 6 days of development, the alternative methods offered by AZELEAD to its customers allow them to respect the 3Rs principle. In addition, our methodologies developed on zebrafish allows to assess the impact of chemical compounds on the environment in accordance with OECD recommendations for ecotoxicology studies.
